DAY 01 : COLOMBO
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
- Explore Colombo, the capital city, and visit attractions like the Colombo National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Memorial Hall, and the Galle Face Green.
- Overnight stay in Colombo.
DAY 02 : SIGIRIYA
- After breakfast, depart for Sigiriya (about 4-5 hours by road).
- Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple en route.
- Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the late afternoon.
DAY 03 : POLONNARUWA
- Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit the Polonnaruwa Vatadage, Gal Vihara, and other historical sites.
DAY 04 : KANDY
- Drive to Kandy (approximately 3-4 hours).
- In the evening, attend a traditional Kandyan dance performance.
DAY 05 : KANDY
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred Buddhist site.
- Explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens.
- Take a leisurely stroll around Kandy Lake.
DAY 06 : ELLA
- Depart for Ella (around 6-7 hours by train or car).
- Enjoy the scenic train ride through the hill country, or opt for a more direct road journey.
- Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak.
DAY 07 : ELLA
- Explore Ella’s natural beauty, including Ella Rock and Ravana Falls.
- Optionally, embark on a tea plantation tour to learn about Sri Lanka’s tea industry.
DAY 08 : YALA
- Drive to Yala National Park (around 4-5 hours).
- Embark on an evening safari to spot wildlife, including leopards, elephants, and birds.
DAY 09 : MIRISSA
- Morning safari in Yala for another chance to see wildlife.
- Afterward, head to the coastal town of Mirissa (about 3-4 hours by road).
- Relax on Mirissa Beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
DAY 10 : MIRISSA TO GALLE AND DEPARTURE
- Visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Explore the fort’s charming streets, shops, and cafes.
- Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to relax in Galle.
- Depart for Colombo to catch your international flight or extend your stay in Sri Lanka.
