The Panduwasnuwara Project commenced on the 5th of September 2011 and a major renovation of the Panduwasnuwara Raja Maha Vihara is already underway.
The Panduwasnuwara Raja Maha Viharaya is full of ancient frescoes as well as some of the finest architects.
The Mahagiri Chetiyarama Raja Maha Viharaya, which was built with the help of Nikasala excavated throughout the Panduwasnuwara Project. Its four miles away from the Panduwasnuwara area
Also, the Paduwasnuwara Buddhist monastery complex built during the early days of the Anuradhapura period. consists of statues, statues, Lanka Bodhigaras and many other constructions too.
This area is thought to have been inhabited by the early Anuradhapura and, there are twenty natural caves with mountain slopes.

The statues of the statue in carvings are now being preserved. These paintings that are alive will be a memorial to the commitment and enthusiasm of the Panduwasnuwara Project staff.
